Anthropic Has Not Even Launched Opus 4.7 Yet. Adobe and Figma Stocks Are Already Crashing.

The Information leaked that Anthropic is shipping a design tool this week. Adobe and Figma dropped over 2% instantly. The product does not exist yet.

Anthropic has not launched anything. There is no product. There is no demo. There is no pricing page. There is a single report from The Information saying that Claude Opus 4.7 and an AI-powered design tool for websites and presentations could ship "as early as this week."

That was enough to erase billions of dollars in market cap.

Adobe dropped more than 2%. Figma dropped more than 2%. Wix fell. GoDaddy fell. Gamma, Google Stitch, and every company that lets you drag and drop a website together just got a warning shot fired directly at their business model. And the gun has not even been loaded yet.

This is not the first time Anthropic has spooked Wall Street before shipping a product. The Claude Cowork announcement triggered what traders called a "SaaSpocalypse," with Indian IT giants TCS, Wipro, and Infosys all taking hits on fears that AI agents would eat into their consulting revenue. The word "Anthropic" is now a sell signal.

What the Tool Actually Does

According to The Information, the design tool will let users create websites, landing pages, presentations, and product prototypes from natural language prompts. No coding. No design skills. You describe what you want, and Claude builds it.

If that sounds familiar, it should. Claude already does this. You can ask it to build you a website right now. The difference is presumably a dedicated, polished product experience rather than a chat window producing HTML. Think Canva meets Vercel's V0, powered by the model that already dominates coding benchmarks.

Reddit users on r/Anthropic pointed this out immediately. Fair point. But the market clearly thinks a dedicated product is a different beast entirely. And the market is not wrong. There is a massive gap between "Claude can technically build a website" and "Anthropic has a product that competes with Figma." One is a capability. The other is a business.

Opus 4.7 Is Not Even the Scary One

Here is the part that should concern Adobe shareholders even more. Opus 4.7 is not Anthropic's most advanced model. That title belongs to Mythos, which is so powerful Anthropic will not release it publicly. Mythos is restricted to a handful of partners for cybersecurity purposes. Five central banks have issued warnings about it in two weeks.

If a mid-tier Anthropic model paired with a design tool can crash stocks before launch, what happens when the full-power models eventually get pointed at creative work?

OpenAI Is Watching This Happen

OpenAI missed its rumored GPT-6 launch window this week. The Internet was expecting an April 14 announcement. Nothing came. Instead, Anthropic used the same week to ship Claude Code Routines, a full Desktop redesign, and is now poised to drop Opus 4.7 plus a design tool that is already moving markets. Polymarket traders are betting on the exact release date.

The message is becoming impossible to ignore. Anthropic does not just build models. It builds products that make other companies' products feel like they belong in a different era. And the market is pricing that reality in before the products even ship.
